Tank 3 Remnants of Disclosure

Like a window looking out from within landscape provides an ever changing visual dialogue of the past, creating a sense of place, whilst projecting to a future.

All manifestations of landscape inform my work, from industrial waste lands to pristine wilderness areas, and everything in-between.

All forms of ruins are significant, simply through their existence, the direct connection between ruins and landscape, the ways in which particular locations or objects become recognized as ruins all reflect upon our society, social values and heritage.

The ceramic forms created are an expression of the tension evident in constructed spaces and ruins– the relationship between human endeavour and nature, as well as the corroding, crumbling power of the elements, the impermanence of human endeavour, the resilience of nature, and the dominance of the transitory.
