This year we are celebrating thirty-nine years at Despard Gallery and are excited to showcase our Annual Summer Show through February 2026. With over a hundred and twenty new artworks from forty-four artists, this has been one of our most vibrant Summer Shows to date.
With so many standout artworks being presented, we are continuing to rotate artworks with an evolving exhibition. We have just completed a full rehang of the gallery, with a number of new artworks taking to the walls as many have already found new homes. We encourage you to stop by the gallery and enjoy the latest additions.
With its distinctive combination of diverse creative styles, the Despard Gallery Annual Summer Show has come to represent the strength of our amazing artists. With a diverse array of mediums, creative approaches and artistic genres, we are excited to share the many treasures that will fill the gallery this year, certain there will be something for every taste.
Not only does the exhibition provide a sample of new creative directions from our stable, but it also acts as a platform to introduce some new talent, as well as become reacquainted with some old friends.
This year we are excited to welcome two new artists to Despard Gallery, including nationally renowned glass artist Kirstie Rea and early career Tasmanian artist Philip James Mylecharane.
