Despard Gallery would like to congratulate Rosanagh May, who has been announced as a finalist in the 2025 Klytie Pate Ceramics Award.
The Biennial Klytie Pate Award for Ceramics is a biennial national prize, open to all ceramicists in Australia and New Zealand, with a first prize of $10,000.00
This prestigious award recognises the creative legacy of ceramic artist Klytie Pate and pays homage to her skill and determination. Pate’s career spanned more than sixty years, demonstrating a firm dedication to her art saw an extraordinary and prolific output. She was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 1991, and her work is held in public collections across the country.
The prize encourages contemporary ceramic works showing design innovation and technical excellence with the aim of enriching cultural life and bring artists, collectors, curators and art appreciators to Mansfield.
This year the Klytie Pate Ceramics Award will be judged by Judy Watson, Michelle Newton and Sarah Thomson.
The finalists’ exhibition, held at Arts Mansfield Collective Studios from 20th September to 5th October.
