Despard Gallery is proud to announce a special upcoming exhibition bringing together three standout emerging Tasmanian artists.

Now in its fourth iteration, Despard Gallery’s Young Bloods exhibition series has acted as the next big step in supporting our best up-and-coming Tasmanian artists, providing a platform to help launch their careers on the commercial stage. This year we are proud to showcase the practices of Jonny Scholes, Aisha Sherman-Noth and Sam Wilkinson.
With a unique combination of approaches and creative directions, each artist already provided a significant contribution to the Tasmanian arts scene through a high-level of originality, insightful lines of enquiries and professionalism. Underlying the artistic approaches of each artist is the use of creative practice to examine themes distinctive to Tasmania, including concerns that will help shape its future and better understand its history.
We are honoured every time we get to share new artworks through the gallery, no more so than of from our emerging talent. As part of this commitment, Despard Gallery has become a key space to support new artists through collaborative projects, curatorial and creative mentorships, as well as professional exhibition opportunities.
