Despard Gallery is pleased to host the third exhibition featuring a curated selection of significant artworks from important mid-career and established Australian artists. The Collectors’ Exhibition series celebrates an array of iconic works, through a selection of invited private sales.
An established commercial gallery for over 39 years, Despard has built a national reputation for supporting contemporary Australian artists through its monthly program of solo and curated group exhibitions, sharing iconic artworks across a range of media. Alongside representing leading established Tasmanian artists, Despard continues to play a key role in launching the careers of many cutting edge emerging practices.
Over this time, many significant artworks have been positioned within collections nationally. Despard is proud to be able to assist our client’s through their collecting journey, offering discerning advice and now a platform for noteworthy artworks to re-enter the market.
Key works presented as part of The Collectors’ Exhibition include celebrated artists such as Geoff Dyer, Anne Morrison, Helen Hopcroft, Dorothy Stoner, Anne Wienholt, Anthea Boden and Stephen Lees. We are also excited to announce an inclusion of works by renowned contemporary artist Scott Redford and ceramic artist Peter Anderson.
