Congratulations to both Anne Morrison and Lisa Garland, who have been selected as finalists as part of this years tidal.24 Art Award! The tidal.24 City of Devonport Tasmanian Art Award is a biennial, acquisitive award held at the Devonport Regional Gallery, with the major acquisitive award of $20,000.00 The award aims to support Tasmanian artists and experimentation within and across different media that reflects the theme of the natural, cultural, personal, or political concerns related to the sea and coastal regions.
The winning artist will be announced at the opening of tidal.24: City of Devonport Tasmanian Art Award at the Devonport Regional Gallery on Friday, 6 December 2024. The exhibition will be on display until Saturday, 8 February 2025. This years judges include Marnie Karmelita, Artistic Director, Ten Days on the Island, Dr. Julie Gough, Curator, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and Dr Malcom Bywaters, Director, Academy Gallery, University of Tasmania.
