Despard Gallery is pleased to share Zoe Grey’s participation in a group exhibition at the Burnie Regional Art Gallery. This exhibition features three West Coast Tasmanian artists as part of the 2019 Burnie Shines Festival. Zoe’s new work continues her exploration of a deep connection to home, translating the complexities of memory and place through bold gestural landscapes.
“My home, Marrawah, is a raw, coastal environment, open to the elements. The landscape adapts to the wild weather; the tea trees bend to the westerly winds, the sand shifts with solid swells and the rocks are pummeled by tireless waves.”
