Despard Gallery is proud to share that contemporary painters Maggie Jeffries, Anne Morrison and Lorraine Biggs have been curated into the exhibition Botanica at the Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery, Inveresk.
Over 130 years old, the Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery is home to one of the oldest and most significant natural science collections in Australia. Botanica explores a deep sense of wonder in plants, showcasing the countless ways it has influenced our way of life through a curated selection of historical and contemporary interpretations. The exhibition explores the intersection between natural science, social history and creative practice, becoming a portal into the many facets of botany, including science, industry and contemporary art. Exhibition continues through until 3 March 2024.
