Despard Gallery is pleased to host a curated exhibition featuring the private sale of significant artworks of important mid-career and established Australian artists.
An established commercial gallery for over 35 years, Despard has built a national reputation for supporting contemporary Australian artists through its monthly program of solo and curated group exhibitions, sharing iconic artworks across a range of media. Alongside representing leading established Tasmanian artists, Despard continues to play a key role in launching the careers of many cutting edge emerging practices.
Over this time, many significant artworks have been positioned within collections nationally. The Collectors’ Exhibition celebrates an array of iconic works, through a curated selection of invited private sales. Despard is proud to be able to assist our client’s through their collecting journey, offering discerning advice and now a platform for noteworthy artworks to renter the market.
Presented as part of our inaugural Collectors’ Exhibition include key works from celebrated artists Geoff Dyer, Patrick Hall, Narelle Autio and Margaret Baragurra.
