Despard Gallery would like to congratulate Jo Chew and Maggie Jeffries, who have both been selected to be part of Contemporary Arts Tasmania’s (CAT) highly coveted studio residency program. Both Jeffries and Chew will have a dedicated studio space for twelve months to experiment with new work and grow their professional careers. The residency program also provides development opportunities through CAT’s public and digital programs, as well as engaged feedback with visiting professionals.

Chew will be presenting a solo exhibition at Despard gallery in September 2024 and Jeffries in mid 2025.
