This year we are celebrating the 36th Annual Summer Show at Despard Gallery. An annual tradition, the Summer Show acts as a platform to share a large selection of new works from our emerging and established artists. With over ninety new artworks from thirty artists, all exploring different mediums, themes and styles, the exhibition is definitely one not to be missed. Not only does this exhibition function as a visual taster of future exhibitions coming in the new year, it also provides the opportunity to introduce some new faces, as well as reacquaint ourselves with some old friends. This year we are excited to officially welcome into the Despard Gallery stable contemporary Tasmanian artist Paul Snell, as well as showcase new works by contemporary artist Jacqui Stockade.
We are honoured every time we get to unveil new work from our artists, taking great pride in our commitment to support emerging talent alongside established artists and promoting them to audiences nationally. Celebrating our 36th year, we are very proud to represent such a strong stable of dedicated, passionate and talented contemporary Australian artists. This is no truer than for our Tasmanian contingent, being able to promote their work through local and interstate exhibitions, digital publications and our popular artist videos.
