Despard Gallery is excited to announce Maggie Jeffries and Zoe Grey have been announced as finalists in the 2024 Women’s Art Prize Tasmania. We are very proud to represent such a strong presence and genuine creative talent.
The Women’s Art Prize Tasmania is the state’s only female art competition that aims to support contemporary artists in Tasmania, by identifying, promoting, encouraging and celebrating exceptional local and emerging talent. The prize consists of four non-acquisitive awards, including the lutruwita Prize, 2024 Women’s Art Prize Tasmania, the Early Career Artist Prize and the People’s Choice Award.
The finalist exhibition will launch at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery on 3 May, then goes on to tour thought 2024 to Devonport Regional Gallery and the Moonah Arts Centre. We wish both Maggie and Zoe the best of luck!
